There can be only one Japanese animation oddity on this week's
episode of the Film Pigeons podcast. Andrew and Jason continue their
alphabetical odyssey through cinema history with reviews of two more 'H'
films. First, Andrew forces himself to watch a full length anime film
as we review Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle. Then we flashback to a kinder, gentler era of spandex, neon and super sparky swords as we review the 80s action classic Highlander.
And, because we are fresh out of Top 4 ideas (send those suckers to
filmpigeons@gmail.com), we celebrate the 2004 Japanese release date of Howl's Moving Castle by
listing our Top 4 2004 films. Andrew also continues his treacherous
journey though Best Picture winner history with a review of Vincente
Minnelli's 1959 Oscar winner Gigi.
