Film Pigeons Episode 127: Lockout, Last Train Home, Guy Pearce

On this episode of the Film Pigeons podcast we continue our trek through the letter L by reviewing two more films.  First up is Lockout, the Guy Pearce starring space prisony, first daughter rescuing action flick from last year.  This is followed by a review of the Chinese documentary Last Train Home which focuses on the plight of urban Chinese workers traveling back to their rural homes.  We also provide a monetary evaluation of Guy Pearce.

Film Pigeons Episode 124: La Haine, Lethal Weapon

It is the episode of hate for the Film Pigeons as we review two more 'l' films and enjoy some Jason based trivia.  Our films are:

La Haine - The title literally means hate!  Does this French film on societal injustice fill us with that aforementioned hate?

Lethal Weapon - Voted "Hollywood's most hate filled man" three years in a row Mel Gibson had some of his earliest success teaming up with Danny Glover in buddy cop films.  Can his mad judo skills flip this film into our hearts?

Film Pigeons Episode 123: Lord of War, Leaving Las Vegas, Nicolas Cage

On this episode of the Film Pigeons podcast we celebrate film-making luminary Nicolas Cage by releasing some exaggerated shouts of joy as we review two of his "l" titled films.
-Lord of War - Cage is screamtastic as a bulgy eyed gun smuggler who smuggles guns.  If only we can stop him from smuggling our hearts then the world would be safe!

Film Pigeons Episode 122: The Lady Eve, L'enfant

On this episode of the Film Pigeons podcast we continue our cinematic march through the alphabet by reviewing these two "l" films:
-The Lady Eve - another black and white opus from Jason's favorite cinematic year - 1941.  Can we resist the temptation?
-L'Enfant - So French, it's Belgian!  Is this Dardenne brother film a nonstop thrill ride of baby selling, child corrupting and social realist drama?  Uh....
