Film Pigeons Episode 62: The Getaway, The Ghost Writer

This week Andrew, Jason and Mark continue their alphabetical journey through cinema history with two more G films. First, we fall in love with Steve McQueen, Ali McGraw and the most unconvincing blood this side of Sergio Leone as we review Sam Peckinpah's The Getaway. Then we blissfully ignore Roman Polanski's personal life as we discuss his 2010 ghostwriting drama, The Ghost Writer. Andrew also continues his trek through the Best Picture winners with a review of Billy Wilder's 1946 addiction drama The Lost Weekend. Finally, in honor of the heisting that takes place in The Getaway we reveal our Rififi-less Top 4 Heist Films.

Music this week comes from Gasoline Heart. Find them here.
