Film Pigeons Episode 58: For A Few Dollars More, Wrapping up the F's

This week on the show Andrew, Jason and Mark move on to the second part of Sergio Leone's "Man With No Name" spaghetti western trilogy by reviewing our final film in the F's, For A Few Dollars More. Andrew also continues his chronological trek through Oscar history with his review of 1941's (1942 Best Picture Award) John Ford directed melodrama How Green Was My Valley. We then send the F's out in style with three Film Pigeons 4 list. Revealed is the Top 4 F films we watched, the worst 4 F films we watched and the Top 4 F films we should have watched.

Film Pigeons Episode 57: A Film Unfinished, A Fistful of Dollars, Top 4 Foreign Directors

On the fifty-seventh episode of the Film Pigeons podcast Andrew, Jason and Mark continue their alphabetical journey through the film alphabet with two more F films.  First, we head into the dusty depths of Nazi propaganda documentaries as we reveal 2010's A Film Unfinished.  Then we strike out for slightly brighter pastures as we review the Sergio Leone cigar chomping, poncho stylizing, Enrico Moriconeing, Eastwood starring first part of the Man With No Name trilogy (his name is actually Joe here) A Fistful of Dollars.  Andrew, also continues his trek through the best picture winners by sharing his thoughts on Alfred Hitchcock's 1941 Best Picture winner Rebecca and we reveal our Top 4 foreign directors in honor of Leone.

Film Pigeons Episode 52: Frailty, The Fountain, Top 4 Religious Films

On the fifty second episode of the Film Pigeons podcast Andrew and Jason lament Andrew's "user error" which led to the early demise of the previous two episodes (featuring The Fall, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fires on the Plain and Forrest Gump) yet are able to overcome their grief enough to review two more 'F' films. The first is Bill Paxton's directorial debut Frailty, a film about a God driven serial killer. The second is Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain a visually appealing bit of cinematic psycho-babble dealing with losing love and embryonic, future astronauts. Then, in honor of Frailty's religious overtones, we reveal our Top 4 Religions Films. Andrew also continues his Best Picture winner trek and talks about the 1934, 1935 (briefly as these were featured on the lost episodes) and 1936 Best Picture winners, Cavalcade, It Happened One Night and Mutiny on the Bounty
